This will improve your vessels radar cross section and help to alert oncoming vessels of your position. The Active XS increases detection especially in poor conditions; therefore reducing the risk of collision. The Active XS has a minuscule current draw of 23mA on standby. The X and S band response time is greater than the new ISO 8729-2 standard and is the preferred option of the ISAF.
